The Ministry of Education has welcomed the resumption of bus services by Taveuni Buses Pte Limited, following confirmation from the company that operations restarted today, 22 July 2026. The Fiji Sugar Corporation says sugar supplies are expected to improve in the coming weeks as production increases and fresh stocks reach retailers. The corporation said temporary shortages in some supermarkets and retail outlets were caused by an unexpected delay to the start of the 2026 crushing season, which reduced domestic sugar stocks.
