Two men wanted for questioning over an alleged violent assault and property damage incident in Wailoku have surrendered to police. The pair reported to the Samabula Police Station with their lawyers on the night of Sunday, 24 May 2026. The Water Authority of Fiji has confirmed that repair works on the DN 600 trunk main linking the Waila Water Treatment Plant to the Wainibuku Reservoir were completed yesterday. WAF said the repaired section of the pipeline was successfully tested before the system was recharged and water inflow restored to the main Wainibuku Reservoir. Restoration efforts then continued across other connected reservoirs and affected supply systems.
