The High Court in Suva will hear a bail application from Saimoni Rokotunidau next Thursday. Rokotunidau is charged with the attempted murder of a police officer following an alleged incident in May this year. He appeared before High Court Judge Justice Dane Tuiqereqere this morning. The court was informed that his previous counsel, Jerry Dinati, has withdrawn from the matter, with Rokotunidau now represented by the Legal Aid Commission. The admissibility of DNA evidence will be at the centre of the vordire proceedings in the case against Isaia Ledua. Ledua is accused of breaking into the Republic of Fiji Military Forces armoury at Queen Elizabeth Barracks in April this year. Ledua faces one count each of aggravated burglary and damaging property. He appeared before High Court Judge Justice Dane Tuiqereqere this morning.
