Former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama’s appeal against a High Court ruling on his salary, pension and gratuity entitlements will be heard by the Court of Appeal on the 11th of November. The matter was called before High Court Judge Justice Chandana Prematikala this morning. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has filed a civil forfeiture application seeking to have assets belonging to Imran Khan and Deborah Kim forfeited to the State. Fiji is stepping up efforts to make government services more accessible while strengthening cybersecurity and digital systems across the country. Minister for Policing and Communications, Ioane Naivalurua, told Parliament today that several initiatives are being advanced under the National Digital Strategy 2025–2030 and the National Cybersecurity and Resilience Strategy 2026–2031. A Whole-of-Government services mapping exercise has identified 788 services provided by ministries and agencies. The exercise is expected to help government review and redesign services to make them easier for people to access.
