New Delhi, April 7 (IANS) The world is in the midst of major developments – political, ideological and combative, attributable to the projection of religion in international politics. The rise of Islamic radical forces symbolised by Taliban, Al Qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram and Palestinian Islamic Jehad, the fall out of the Israel-Hamas confrontation and the coming together of Iran, China and Russia in political opposition to the US, are setting the global trend of a constant shift towards geopolitics driven by faith-based conflicts. To the extent this was linked to certain historical legacies, the trend could aggravate matters for the…

I’m delighted to send warm greetings to Australia’s Sikh community as you gather to observe Vaisakhi. This great festival is a time to rejoice in cherished cultural and religious traditions; customs that honour the spring harvest and a new solar year, and the birth of the Khalsa. Vaisakhi’s spirit of equality and respect reflects the Sikh community’s contribution to our great nation…

According to the tech giant, China is using fake social media accounts to poll voters on what divides them most to sow division and possibly…
