Vardhaan Puri is all set to charm audiences in his upcoming romantic comedy Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story, directed by Kunal Kohli. Starring opposite Kaveri Kapur, the film is set to release on OTT on February 11, making it a perfect Valentine’s treat.

What makes this film even more special is the connection between the lead actors’ families. Vardhaan, the grandson of legendary actor Amrish Puri, and Kaveri, the daughter of filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, are continuing a legacy that dates back to Mr. India, where Amrish Puri’s iconic role as Mogambo was directed by Shekhar Kapur. Decades later, their next generation is coming together for a love story, adding a nostalgic touch to the project.

Talking about his character, Vardhaan shares, “Rishi is a boy full of masti, a boy with a beating heart, a boy with a fantastic sense of humor. He is hilarious and sensitive in equal measure, and he’s someone who’s going to make you smile, laugh, and cry. I really wish I had a best friend like Rishi.”

Reflecting on his experience, he adds, “My experience of working with Kunal Kohli sir, Kaveri, and all the other team members was brilliant. What makes this love story amazing is that it’s very Kunal Kohli-esque. It is a breath of fresh air because you’re watching so many dramatic stories, so much violence, and action, and I’ve been craving a nice emotional rom-com filled with romance. I think the simplicity and the layered quality of this film make it very special, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience the magic of young lovers—their romance, their tiffs, their making up. This film has a lot of honesty, and it has been a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience.”

With a fresh pairing, engaging storytelling, and a touch of nostalgia, Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story promises to be an exciting addition to the rom-com genre. Fans can catch this heartwarming love story on OTT on February 11.
