The Lautoka City Council has begun a tree management and replacement programme along Vitogo Parade as part of efforts to improve public safety while maintaining the city’s urban landscape. Following an assessment of 217 Royal Palm trees, nine have been earmarked for removal after being found to have termite damage, hollow trunks, structural defects and other safety concerns.
