The trailer of Akshay Kumar’s forthcoming film Gold is out and the same has soaked in immense appreciation from across quarters.

What we can’t help but notice is that Akshay Kumar has donned the character of a Bengali man for the very first time. The actor in the past has never played a character of a Bengali man, but Gold will see him play the character named Tapan.

Although a lot of hard work has gone behind it. From Akshay’s appearance to his diction, everything has been minutely worked upon. Akshay has worked on his diction in order to get the nuances of the language and the accent right.

‘Gold’ not only marks the first ever association between Akshay Kumar and Excel Entertainment led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar but also is the debut of TV sensation Mouni Roy.

Starring Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal, Gold promises power packed performances by an ensemble cast.

Gold is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, wri5tten & helmed by Reema Kagti and is all set to release on the 15th August 2018.
