“Whenever our children go to an international stage to represent our country, it’s a proud moment for other children, parents and teachers of the country.”
This was highlighted by the Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts, Hon. Rosy Akbar at the farewell of students from Tamavua Primary School who will part take in the Bridge Kids Summer Camp Tour to Japan.
“This is not the first time children will be part of the Asian Pacific Children’s convention and we have sent about 180 children in the past,” Minister Akbar said.
She advised the children to eat well, look after themselves and be prepared for the weather and make the most of this experience.
The children will depart for Japan on Saturday.
