The official State visit of Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama ended yesterday on a high. And what better way than with a game of rugby. Bainimarama last night closed the Auckland Fijian Community 7s. The one-day 7s tournament was held at Tangaroa College and brought together the Fijian diaspora in New Zealand with teams from all over New Zealand.
Prime Minister Bainimarama thanked the organisers for using sports as a vehicle to unite the Fijian diaspora. He has also earlier visited the Auckland War Memorial to pay his respects. The Prime Minister will arrive back in the country tomorrow.
