Young patriotic students and participants from Tavua, Kulukulu, Beqa, Lautoka, Suva and Vanua Levu were today awarded with prizes for creating and posting their 1 – 3 minute video recording for #OurConstitution Challenge online on the Fijian Government Facebook page.
In commending the winners for their ingenuity, the Permanent Secretary for Communications and Information, Mrs Deborah Weiss said “these videos have been inspiring with moving testimonials and a commonality for majority of the videos submitted included Fijians being aware of the Bill of Rights under the Constitution”.
“This grants us the basic rights to clean water and decent housing – a doctrine that levels the playing field for everyone and brings us together as one Fijian family,” she said.
“This competition was designed to support Government’s commitment in providing an enabling environment for the development and growth of the IT and communications sector and at the same time to promoting digital literacy.”
The winners received laptops from Datec and Samsung Galaxy S10 plus phones from Vodafone.
