A total of 121 individuals graduated from the TISI School of Nursing and Health Care in Labasa Today.
The Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete reminded the graduates that the nursing profession was a calling to serve the people.
“You must understand that the calling is a vocation, not a job. Your salary at the end of two weeks is not the reason why we exist, it is the vocation of being a nurse, being part and parcel of the Health Care profession for serving people,” Dr Waqainabete said.
“Graduates who have gone before you and joined the Ministry of Health have set a standard and I expect you to continue with that standard as you join the ministry.”
A hundred-ten of these students received their Bachelors of Nursing Degree, and 11 graduated from the Nursing Practitioners Programme offered by the institution.
