Work on the Stinson Parade Bridge in Suva is expected to begin at the end of this year. The bridge near the Suva Market has been closed for the last four years. Fiji Roads Authority Manager for Bridges and Jetties, Nixon Toremana says work on the demolition of the Ports Authority building to make way for the new bridge has been completed.
“Based on schedule is 29 months so that’s about the end of 2018, but there maybe delays. It will start with Vatuwaqa bridge once the piling is done then we move to the Stinson Bridge.”
