The community of Nawaqadamu in the interior of Nadi celebrated the commissioning of their new rural water project, as the Fijian Government aims for all Fijians to access safe drinking water by 2030.

At an investment of $201,000, the project benefits 52 households, 10 teacher’s quarters and Nasesevia Secondary School and Buruwa Primary School.

“To guarantee a clean and steady flow of water to the people of your community, there is construction of two new dams and two 45,000 litres cement tanks for the village and the school,” said Hon. Jone Usamate, Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Disaster Management and Meteorological Services.
