The Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Housing Local Government and Community Development, Hon. Premila Kumar has urged the Fiji Football Association to look into new strategies and targets in order to take football to another level.
While speaking at the official opening of the Battle of the Giants Soccer tournament at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori this evening, Minister Kumar said football starred in Fiji for decades however we are yet to make a mark in the international arena.
Minister Kumar said in past Fiji had caused surprises in the Pacific by beating teams like Australia however now we have not been consistent in our performance.
“We need good coaches, we need good grounds and we need the vision to be delivered by each and everyone,” Minister Kumar said
