Manoj Muntashir calls Black Panther the Mahabharata of the 21st Century

Popularly known for his exemplary work in the Hindi version installments of ‘Baahubali’, Bollywood writer and lyricist Manoj Muntashir is now gearing up for the release of his next dubbed film, ‘Black Panther’ which is an American superhero film for which he wrote the dialogues and screenplay. The story of Black Panther is quite Indian at heart according to Manoj and that is the main reason why he decided to work on the Hindi version of the upcoming Marvel superhero flick. He thought the set and environment of the movie was very similar to Mahabharata and called Black Panther the Mahabharata of the 21st Century.

“I attended the screening of ‘Black Panther’ and realized it was a Bollywood film, set in some imaginary land. It is like the tales we have heard in our childhood, about battles, kingdoms, it’s like Mahabharata of the 21st century”

The writer says that he understands the pulse of the audience very well in the northern part of India which makes it easier for him to pen dialogues during dubbing. Well catch the much awaitrd superhero film “Black Panther” as it releases in India on February 16.
