The Fiji Indian Association of Australia Inc. (TFIAA) formally known as The Fiji Indian Community of Australia (TFICoA) donates another $1,125.25 to Blacktown and Mt. Druitt Hospital Foundation (BMHF). On 2nd August 2016, TFIAA’s sister organisation, Blacktown Ramayan Geeta Ramayan Mandali Inc. donated $10,000.00 to BMHF.
TFIAA is pleased to announce that forty percent of all major projects net proceeds will go to BMHF, twenty percent to go towards our Age Care Assistance Program, twenty percent to go towards other charities in Australia and the balance taking up by administrative costs. We have 21 members and countless volunteers who work tirelessly to achieve TFIAA’s goals and ambitions.
TFIAA has four current project plans nearing completion namely:
Aged Care Assistance Program – A service where TFIAA will provide free pick up and drop off services to aged pensioners who need assistance of doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, entertainment, shopping and the like. Lottery Ticket Program -2 A national lottery scheme that TFIAA will eventuate with a view to having multiple prizes for participants and a target to raise $150,000.
Interfaith Services Initiative & Program – An initiative to create peace, harmony and mutual respect between various faiths to bring together four religion groups (Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christianity)together under one roof and all faiths will speak on one topic “Love & Peace”. Through all these projects, TFIAA aims to draw awareness in the community about the importance of the existence of Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital Foundation (BMHF), our free Aged Care Assistance program to everyone who needs these services.
