Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum today attended a vigil together with leaders from the different faith based groups to remember the victims of the recent attacks in Sri Lanka.
The prayer vigil held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Cathedral in Suva attracted many Fijians who wanted to pay their respects to the victims and their families.
Speaking during the solemn occasion, the A-G stressed the need to love one another and emphasized on unity.
Members of the Sri Lankan community in Fiji present also spoke about their loved ones and urged all Fijians to live in peace and harmony.
Present at the vigil were members of parliament, members of the diplomatic corp and other senior government officials.
