Fijian Wallabies fans to come together for Argentina test on the Gold Coast!

Fijian-Australian Wallabies fans will be out in force to support the Qantas Wallabies in their 2018 Rugby Championship Test match against the Argentina Pumas on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at CBUS Stadium, Gold Coast.

The Fijian-Australian community is well represented in the Qantas Wallabies squad including wingers MarikaKoroibete and SefeNaivalu.

MarikaKoroibetehas had a unique journey to the green and gold Qantas Wallabies jersey.  Born in the tiny Fijian village of Naraiyawa, Koroibete was spotted by rugby league scouts and became an NRL sensation for Wests Tigers and Melbourne Storm before switching to Rugby Union with the Melbourne Rebels.

Koroibete made his debut for the Qantas Wallabies in 2017 and said: “It’s a dream come true and all the hardship I’ve been through, its all paid off now. I’m so proud and my family is so proud that I’m a Wallaby.”


Gold Coast FijianCommunity leader Ata Satala said he is thrilled to see the diversity of the multicultural Qantas Wallabies: “The Fijian community have produced some great Wallabies including IlieTabua and LoteTuquiriand we are very proud of our current crop.  We’ll be out at CBUS Stadium cheering for the Wallabies.”

The Qantas Wallabies squad also features players born in New Zealand, Tonga, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
