The Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development along with the Ministry of I-Taukei Affairs will be joining hands to coordinate the first ever Fijian Government Services Expo which will be held at the Vatumali government station in Keiyasi, Navosa.
The expo is scheduled to be held next Tuesday and Wednesday (9th and 10th of April) and is targeted to cater for 7,000 people in Navosa including villages in the Ba.
The much anticipated expo will be opened by the Hon. Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama who will be accompanied by all the government ministers and the permanent secretaries from the different ministries.
Expo Coordinator, Ana Tora says that transport has been arranged for the 43 villages in Navosa as the government aims to bring in more people to access the services they needed.
“We will be aligning ourselves to six strategic objectives during the two day event so we can be focused and serve the people of Navosa” Mrs Tora said.
“They include enhancing awareness, identifying key stakeholders and building strong partnerships, community capacity building, inducing a shift in mind-set, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of the services expo” said Mrs Tora.
Meanwhile, the second Government Services Expo will be held in Korotasere, Vaturova in the province of Cakaudrove on the 28th and 29th of May.
