The Fijian Elections Office has today signed a contract with Datec, which will be the official supplier of the Election Result Management System software. The software has been used in the 2014 elections but some enhancements have been made for the 2018 elections.Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says the software will be able to print out results that have been recorded.
Saneem says on the night of the elections they will conduct a flush at 6pm to delete all data from the result management system and they will print names of polling venues with zeros on them to ensure there is no data present.
Saneem says the flush process will be done live on-air from the Result Management System on the Fijian Elections Office channels to ensure that the data entry system begins with zero data in the system.
