Deepak Chahar’s record-breaking effort seals the series for India

Deepak Chahar holds the best ever figures in the history of T20 Internationals cricket. Chahar broke the previous record held by Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis who took six for eight against Zimbabwe in 2012.

Chahar became the first Indian bowler to take a hat trick in T20 Internationals.The other Indians to take hat tricks in other formats are Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan and Jasprit Bumrah in Tests and Chetan Sharma, Kapil Dev, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Shami in ODIs.

With the help of KL Rahul and S Iyer’s 50s India scored 174 with the loss of 5 wickets. Bangladesh lost two early wickets while chasing but with the brilliant knock of 81 (48 ball) from M Naim, match seemingly sleep away from Indians when Bangladesh needed 65 runs in 42 balls with 8 wickets in hand.


S Dubey took two wickets in two balls and brought India back to the match and Deepak Chahar done the rest of the damage.

Deepak Chahar was awarded Man of the Match and Man of the Series.
