CABRAMATTA MOON FESTIVAL

Fairfield City Council is excited to announce that Vietnamese pop princess Minh Tuyet will headline the 2018 Cabramatta Moon Festival celebrations on 23 September. She will be joined by children’s entertainment sensations PJ Masks, who will wow the younger family members with their colourful and infectious live show. Minh Tuyet is one of the best-selling artists in the Vietnamese communities across the world, who has released numerous albums since her debut in 1998.

As an exclusive singer for the prestigious Thuy Nga Productions for the past four years, Minh Tuyet regularly appears on their flagship Paris By Night music film series. “I can’t wait to share my music with you and celebrate the rich diversity of cultures with everyone at the Cabramatta Moon Festival,” Minh Tuyet said. Catboy, Owlette and Gekko will wow little ones with their PJ Masks ‘Meet the Heroes’ show. Kids big and small will learn what it takes to be a hero and a member of the PJ Masks team in a live interactive training session. Sing, dance and perform the PJ Masks special super power moves to discover the real meaning of being a hero. Mayor Carbone said the benefits of holding events such as the Moon Festival in Fairfield City are far reaching.

“With more than 90,000 people attending last year, the Moon Festival is always popular among locals and visitors, and it plays a vital role for tourism into the area, not only
showcasing our diversity but also attracting visitors, boosting the local economy and creating jobs,” he said. Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said Minh Tuyet and PJ Masks are an exciting addition to the colourful line up of performers, activities and events scheduled for the Festival. “Minh Tuyet holds a very special place in the global Vietnamese community and I know from speaking with people on the streets of Cabramatta that there is a lot of excitement around her visit,” Mayor Carbone said.

“She has an amazing voice and presence on stage. You will not want to miss her show. “I am also looking forward to hundreds of PJ Masks fans getting active and having fun at
their Meet the Heroes show.” More details about entertainment and activities planned for the Cabramatta Moon Festival, now in its 20th year, will be revealed in the coming weeks.
