It was a perfect English condition at the Taunton. Warner and Finch had an opening partnership of 146 runs in just 22 overs and at that time the projected score was 368 run but with the brilliant spell of Mohammad Amir restricted Aussies to 307 runs. Amir took 5 for 30 runs.
Warnes scored his first century since his return to the Australian side, scored 107 in 111 balls with 11 fours and a six, while Finch scored 82 in 84 balls.
Pakistan lost their first wicket in their 3rd over. Pakistan were 6 down with 148 runs needed in 20 overs, Hasan Ali then came to the crease and scored an entertaining and game-changing 33 runs of just 17 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes.
When Pakistan needed 44 runs in last 6 overs and Sarfaraz Ahmed was on the crease, anything was possible; Mitchelle Starc took 2 wickets in 3 balls and secured a win for Australia. Cummins was the highest wicket-taker, took 3/33 in 10 overs. Australia won by 41 runs
