Australia started their world cup campaign with an emphatic win against Afghanistan; Aussies won the match with seven wickets in hand. Afghanistan team bowled out in 207 runs with more than 11 overs left in their innings. N Zadran was the top scorer with 51 runs and a quick fired 27 from just 11 balls from the spin bowling sensation Rashid Khan was the major highlights of their batting.
Michelle Starc bowled M Shahzad with almost an unplayable Yorker in just a third bowl of an innings, while Cummings and Zampa took three wickets each.
Aussies had almost secured a victory with a 96 opening stand between Finch and Warner. David Warner scored an unbeaten 89 with 8 boundaries.
Defending world champion will play their next game against West Indians on 6th of the June.
