Fijian Elections Office commences recruitment process for 2018 General Elections

The Fijian Elections Office has commenced their recruitment process for trainers for the 2018 General Elections.

Supervisor of Elections Mohammad Saneem says they are looking at short-listing 100 suitably qualified skilled persons who will undergo special electoral training of trainers program before the Fijian Elections Office appoints 80 trainers to train their staff for the 2018 General Elections.

Saneem says there will be around 12,000 people working for the Fijian Elections on the day of elections and to ensure consistency and best delivery of elections they need them to be trained by the best people.

The budget for the entire training for the next elections is around $4 million.
