2017 AFL Multicultural Festival

The AFL NSW/ACT & GWS GIANTS will bring the AFL Multicultural Festival to Western Sydney for the next four years. 2016 was the inaugural year of holding this event in Western Sydney and drew more than 12,000 attendees.
On Saturday, July 29 from 12pm – 6pm at Cathy Freeman Park, Sydney Olympic Park, be prepared for the extraordinary as we celebrate the many cultures that make this great game special and we want your community to be a part of the action.

The festival celebrates many wonderful cultures who share a passion for Australian rules. The round will celebrate Many Cultures, One Game and highlight the contribution multicultural communities have made to the game’s history as well as welcoming new communities.

The event is FREE and offers rides, a taste of the world food stalls, AFL clinics, henna and face painters, cultural workshops, spice and herb garden, Arabic Drummers, Bollywood dancing plus many more performers throughout the day.
